The Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) has published Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2144 of 21 October 2025, placing imports of pea protein originating in the People’s Republic of China under customs registration.
In accordance with this Regulation, and following the anti-dumping procedure announced on 29 August 2025, customs authorities in the European Union are required to register imports of high-protein pea protein containing more than 65% protein by dry weight. The measure applies to all types of pea protein derived from peas—including, but not limited to, yellow and green peas—in all physical forms, whether solid (e.g. powder) or liquid (in solution), and whether or not texturised, originating in the People’s Republic of China. These products are currently classified under the following Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes: ex 3504 00 90 (TARIC code 3504 00 90 91), ex 2106 10 20 (TARIC code 2106 10 20 40), ex 2106 10 80 (TARIC codes 2106 10 80 31, 2106 10 80 39, and 2106 10 80 71) and ex 2303 10 90 (TARIC code 2303 10 90 10).
